How do I place an order?

You can submit an order in the following ways:

  • Order directly on this website by going to the ‘Order Now’ section

  • Contact me by Whatsapp (5939 2385) or Email (info@thegourmetworkshop.com)

  • Use Facebook messenger

  • Use the website’s Live Chat

What is the most convenient way to place an order?

As this website has been specially designed to take in orders in the fastest and most convenient way, I recommend that you place your order here. However you can still reach out to me using any of the above-mentioned communication medium. I will endeavour to respond ASAP.

How early should I place my order?

As a minimum, I require at least 4 days advanced notice.

What happens after I place my order?

After you place an order, I will reply to you as soon as possible to confirm if I can accept your request. Once I have confirmed your order, please pay the 50% deposit within 24 hours to complete the order. Send me a message when you have paid the deposit. Please note I will not bake your order until I have received the deposit.

How can I make the deposit payment?

  • Bank transfer (MCB Account no. 000448200716). Please quote your name in the payment reference.

  • MCB Juice Account no. 59392385. Please quote your name in the payment reference.

 

How will I know if you have received the payment?

I will update your invoice to confirm I have received the payment.

When can I collect my order?

When submitting your order request, please state your preferred collection date and time. Please collect your order at my workshop. Please note as a minimum I require at least 4 days advanced notice.

How do I settle the remaining balance?

The remaining balance is due in cash, bank transfer or MCB Juice upon collection / pick up of your order.

I think I’m going to be late collecting my order, what should I do?

Please give me a call or send me a message ASAP.

Will I get a refund if I cancel my order?

If the request for cancellation is received over 4 days from when the order is due for collection / pick up, I will refund the paid 50% deposit in full. I am sorry that no refund will be issued for cancellations made within 4 days of collection date.

Can I change the collection date and time after placing my order?

You can amend your order anytime before making the deposit payment. Let me know ASAP if you wish to amend your order after you've paid the deposit. I will do my best but cannot guarantee that I can accommodate your request.

Do you offer a home delivery service?

We currently deliver within Plaine Wilhems (Curepipe, Floreal, RH, QB, BB, Ebene, Moka) for an additional fee.

I am health-conscious. Can I still eat your cakes?

I think that it is very important to take care of one’s health, this is why I try my best to reduce the sugar content of my cakes. However I know that some of you have different preferences and would like to further cut down on sugar.  Please let me know if you would like to order a lower-sugar or no refined sugar version of the cake - I will confirm asap if it is possible to make.

Can I offer feedback and suggestions?

Good or bad, I love to hear back from my customers as I believe this is how I can keep on improving. You can also share your ideas for new creations. Fill out the feedback form on the website to send me your thoughts.
